Sales reps and customers at a regional building supply distributor needed a mobile-first quoting and ordering platform that could handle inventory exceptions in real time without manual intervention. We delivered a Power Apps mobile application covering the complete quote-to-order lifecycle — with role-based access for both customer-facing and internal rep flows, integrated inventory checks, automated backorder record creation, receipt-triggered allocation decision notifications, and Power BI sales performance reporting providing management visibility into the full order pipeline.
Challenge
Quoting and order entry depended on fragmented tools with no live inventory visibility, no automated backorder management process, and no mechanism to alert sales reps when backordered items arrived — leading to missed allocation windows, delayed fulfillment, customer dissatisfaction, and significant manual follow-up overhead for the sales team.
