It offers a drag-and-drop interface that allows users to create dashboards and reports. Users can customize these reporting items to fit their specific needs. Tableau allows the integration of multiple data sources with a real-time data connectivity feature. With a need for real-time data analytics, Tableau is an ideal tool for businesses. 

Tableau’s pricing model ranges from a free trial (with limited features), a one-time license, a subscription, and a quotation base. The subscription pricing model is shown below: 

  • Tableau Creator (For individuals) – $70 per user per month 
  • Tableau Explorer (On-Premises or Public Cloud) – $35 per user per month 
  • Tableau Viewer (On-Premises or Public Cloud) – $12 per user per month

QlikView

SAP BusinessObjects

SAP BusinessObjects does not have a free version or free trial. The starting price for this solution is fourteen thousand dollars ($14,000) per year. 

IBM Cognos Analytics

IBM Cognos Analytics has a free trial window of thirty (30) days. There are different pricing packages for IBM Cognos Analytics. They are:  

  • Standard (Cloud) – $15 per user per month   
  • Plus (Cloud) – $35 per user per month 
  • Premium (Cloud) – $70 per user per month 
  • Custom – Open to negotiation with the client
